A new integration system will be introduced on the first of January 2022. Every newcomer to the Netherlands will then have to take the civic integration exam at the B1 level. Until now, this level has been A2.
In the new civic integration system, local authorities (gemeenten) will ensure that newcomers learn the Dutch language and start working as soon as possible. After all, participating is the best way to successful integration. Customization and speed are central to this. This means that you have to pass the exam within 3 years in order to stay here permanently.
Highly skilled migrants (kennismigranten) and persons who fall under the scope of family reunification (gezinshereniging) must take care of the correct way of integration themselves.
If you are interested in coming to the Netherlands and you want to prepare yourself for the new rules, feel free to contact me about the options for Dutch classes.
Newcomers who become obliged to integrate before January 2022 will continue to fall under the old system. This means that you have to pass the exam at the A2 level. I offer different language courses to help you achieve this goal. Let me know if I can help you.
