About Elizabeth Bergsma

My name is Elizabeth Bergsma and together with my boyfriend, I live in Drachten, Friesland. I have always been very interested in languages. When I was younger I spoke the local language of the Stellingwerven with my family. Once at primary school I learned Dutch. In high school, I wanted to learn French.

I thought it was a beautiful language with wonderful melodious sounds. After high school, I went to the pabo and came into contact with the Frisian language. I don’t yet speak this language fluently, but I can understand it very well.

It’ s great that you are interested in learning the Dutch language.

My name is Elizabeth Bergsma. I have always been interested in languages. I speak Low Saxon, Dutch, and English. German and Frisian I understand well.

I am convinced that language makes you richer as a human being. This idea also lies at the basis of my company Talk Dutch 2. I guide people in learning the Dutch language. I focus on people who come to live in the Netherlands, because they have found work here, or because their partner lives here. I think it is important that someone feels at home in the beautiful Netherlands. By understanding and speaking the language and knowing the customs, you achieve this much faster. With my relaxed teaching style, I ensure that my students’ speaking, listening and understanding of Dutch improve significantly.
